FEMA
First - You must register with FEMA if you've had a flood loss. Disaster recovery centers are open in many eastern Iowa communities. You can meet one-on-one with disaster recovery specialists to check on the status of your application, learn about other types of aid that may be available, and receive information about how to avoid future disaster losses when repairing or rebuilding. Before visiting a DRC, please register with FEMA. If you have questions, or to register, call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for individuals with speech or hearing impairment between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. seven days a week.
Or register online at www.fema.gov
